Terms of Service
These terms apply to dumpster rental services provided by Harrisburg Dumpster Rental Solutions. Booking a container means you accept them.
1. Bookings and quotes
Quotes are based on the information you give us about the container size, rental period, debris type and site access. If the actual job differs materially from what was described, pricing may change. We will always tell you before any additional charge is applied where we reasonably can.
2. Pricing, weight allowances and overages
Our flat rate includes delivery, pickup, the agreed rental period and disposal up to a stated weight allowance. Debris exceeding that allowance is charged at the per-ton overage rate quoted to you at the time of booking. Weight is determined at the disposal facility.
3. Site access and placement
You are responsible for ensuring the delivery location is accessible, clear and suitable for a roll-off truck and container. We take reasonable care — including placing protective boards under the container on residential deliveries — but we are not liable for damage to driveways, kerbs, lawns, underground services, septic systems or overhead lines resulting from placement at a location you have requested.
4. Permits
Where a container is placed on a street, sidewalk or public right-of-way, the customer is responsible for obtaining the required municipal permit unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing. We will advise on what is required.
5. Prohibited materials
The following must not be placed in any container: hazardous waste, paint, solvents, oils, fuels, chemicals, pesticides, asbestos, batteries, propane tanks and pressurised cylinders, tires, medical waste, refrigerant-containing appliances, and any material prohibited by law or by the receiving facility. Where prohibited materials are found in a load, the customer is responsible for any resulting handling charges, fines or remediation costs.
6. Loading and fill level
Debris must be level with or below the top rail of the container. Overfilled containers cannot be legally transported and will not be collected until levelled. Containers must not be moved, relocated or modified by the customer.
7. Rental period, extensions and swaps
The rental period begins on delivery. Extensions are available and must be arranged by telephone. Extended rentals beyond the agreed period may incur additional daily charges.
8. Access on collection
If our driver cannot access the container on the scheduled collection date — because of a blocked approach, a parked vehicle, or overfilling — a return trip charge may apply.
9. Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including project delays, arising from delivery timing, access issues or matters outside our reasonable control, including weather, road closures and facility availability.
10. Payment
Payment terms are agreed at booking. Approved commercial accounts may be invoiced. Overdue accounts may be subject to charges.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
