About Harrisburg Dumpster Rental Solutions
A small company on North 7th Street, built by someone who got tired of watching the job done badly.
How this started
Dave Reinhart spent most of his twenties driving for other people's waste companies around Central Pennsylvania. He is from here โ grew up off Derry Street, went to school in the district, has family scattered from Steelton to Linglestown โ and he learned the trade the way most drivers do: by doing it, badly, until he did it well.
What he could not get past was how routinely customers were let down by things that were entirely within the company's control. A container promised for Tuesday that arrived Thursday. A homeowner sold a 30 yard box for a concrete tear-out, then handed an overage invoice they had no way of anticipating. Gouged driveways. Drivers who would not walk a site before dropping four tons of steel on it.
None of that is difficult to fix. It just requires actually caring about the outcome. In 2009 he bought a truck and started Harrisburg Dumpster Rental Solutions to prove the point.
What we actually do differently
- We size honestly. If a smaller, cheaper container is the right one, that is the one we will recommend. We would rather have the repeat business than the extra fifty dollars.
- We put boards down. Every residential delivery. Not an add-on, not an upsell โ just what you do if you do not want to wreck someone's driveway.
- We tell you the weight allowance before you book. Surprise overage invoices are the single biggest complaint people bring us about their last hauler, and they are entirely preventable by simply explaining the pricing.
- We turn up when we said we would. And when something goes wrong โ a truck breaks down, a storm takes out half the schedule โ you get a phone call, not silence.
The people you will actually speak to
Dave Reinhart โ Owner & Founder. Sixteen years running this company and a decade driving before it. He still takes calls, still runs a truck when the schedule is tight, and he is the person who will tell you that you do not need the container size you rang up asking for.
Tina Boyer โ Dispatch & Scheduling Manager. Tina runs the schedule, which means she is the person who actually determines whether we keep our promises. She knows which streets in Steelton will not take a full-length truck and which Camp Hill driveways are too steep, and she plans around them before it becomes your problem.
Local, and staying that way
We are not a franchise and we are not a lead-generation website that sells your call to whoever is cheapest that week. We are a Harrisburg company with our own trucks, our own containers and our own drivers, working Dauphin County and the boroughs across the river.
That has practical consequences. When you tell us the address is a rowhome in Allison Hill with no driveway, we know what that means and what it will require. When you say the job is off Jonestown Road, we know the access. That kind of knowledge cannot be outsourced, and it is the whole reason to use a local hauler.
We handle disposal through the region's designated facilities, including the Susquehanna Resource Management Complex, and we keep our registrations and insurance current โ because on a commercial job, the paperwork is part of the service.
What we believe about this work
A dumpster is a boring product. Nobody is excited to rent one. The only thing that distinguishes one hauler from another is whether they do what they said, when they said, for the price they said.
That is a low bar. It is astonishing how many companies fail to clear it.
So that is the whole business. Show up. Size it right. Charge what we quoted. Protect the driveway. Answer the phone.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long has Harrisburg Dumpster Rental Solutions been operating?
Since 2009. Dave Reinhart founded the company after years in the waste industry watching haulers turn up late and guess at sizing, and that is still what we are built around not doing.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are fully licensed and insured, and we can supply a certificate of insurance to general contractors and property managers who need one on file before we come on site.
Are you locally owned?
Entirely. We are based on North 7th Street in Harrisburg and we work Dauphin County and the West Shore. There is no call centre and no national dispatch โ when you ring, you get someone who knows the streets you are describing.
Do you handle both residential and commercial work?
Both, every day. Homeowners doing a bathroom, landlords turning over units, contractors on scheduled swap cycles, and commercial sites needing early-morning drops.
